Associate Professor in Architectural Restoration at the Department of Architecture and Design of the Polytechnic University of Turin. He obtained his PhD in Cultural Heritage in 2011, qualified for professional practice as an architect, and registered with the Order of Architects of the Province of Turin. Since 2011, he has taught in the Architecture degree programmes at the Polytechnic University of Turin. He is a founding member of FoRS – Focus on Ruskin Studies (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice) and PerspectLAB – Laboratory for the Theory, Creation and Politics of Space (Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade). He is the author of monographs and scientific articles on the conservation of the existing built environment, architectural restoration, and cultural heritage enhancement. His research focuses on ruined buildings, from classical archaeological ruins to dissonant contemporary architectures, combining theoretical reflection, historical-critical analysis, and applied conservation research in fragile, conflict-related, and archaeologically complex contexts, with attention to material authenticity and heritage values in restoration practice today.
