Dr Roger Marjavaara

Department of Geography, Umeå University, Sweden

My primary field of research lies within human mobility of different kinds. This includes tourism geography, migration and transport. Besides that I have a particular interest in the geography of the deceased, or all types of spatial aspects of death, dying, mourning and remembrance. I focus on death and mobility, where tourism in relation to death, and post-mortal mobility is in of particular interest.
