The Colloquium is an essential forum for the discussion of new and emerging cemetery scholarship and is multi-disciplinary, accepting papers from across all the humanities and social sciences. The Colloquium has an emphasis on discussion, and its international and interdisciplinary nature makes the meeting particularly thought-provoking.

The next in-person Cemeteries Colloquium is taking place at the University of York, UK on the 8th May, 2026 and we are now seeking abstract submissions. Papers will each be given a time slot of 30 minutes. Please use this link to submit your abstract. The deadline for abstracts is 27th March.
