We are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker is Professor Andrew Kipnis, Department of Anthropology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Kipnis has written widely on contemporary funeral practices in China, including the 2021 monograph The Funeral of Mr. Wang: Life, Death and Ghosts in Urbanizing China.
