Dr Łucja Lange is an Assistant Professor at the University of Łódź in Poland. She holds a doctorate in sociology, as well as a master’s degree in cultural anthropology and theatre studies. Her research focuses on themes of diversity, disease, death, mourning, and homelessness, encompassing both humans and animals. She has a particular interest in the therapeutic use of photography, serving both as a therapist and a researcher. Dr Lange provides commemorative photo sessions for animals and their guardians, and she assists in preparing farewells for animal funerals. Additionally, she facilitates grief circles related to animal loss, ecological grief, and suicide loss. Dr. Lange is the e-publisher of the bereavement zine, Lost&Found Grief Mega*Zine.
