My research interests are landscapes of belief in the North Atlantic region focusing on Christian practice and pilgrimage in the archipelagos of Orkney and Shetland and the north coast of Scotland. Of particular interest to this group is my research with Dr James Moore, also from the Archaeology Institute UHI, into memorialisation, identity and community in the long nineteenth century in Orkney.
